(XML Schema) By Van Der Vlist, Eric (Author) Paperback on (07 , 2002) Reviews
I have the XML Pocket reference (ISBN 978-0-596-10050-6), which is permanently on my desk and contains a great reference to all the XML Schema elements. However, I was recently working on an XSD documentation project and needed something a bit deeper. This is a big version of the pocket reference, with many more examples and a fuller explanation against each element. It also provides some tricks into how to get around some of the limitations of the XSD standard. There's a really good explanation of namespaces, and how they play with XML-Schema (not a simple topic if you're importing schemas for multiple namespaces etc). If you've got a basic understanding of XML Schema, and are only writing simple schemas, then the pocket reference will do, however, if you're learning XSD, or you need to a deeper understanding of how things work, then this is a great book (despite it being old). It covers version Schema 1.0 (obviously no 1.1 due to its age).
